 Silvahunter Kennels
since 1974  Silvahunter Kennels was established by John & Elizabeth Harding, and is based in Melbourne, Australia. Our kennel was developed through the love of great working dogs that not only looked good, but, also displayed the full traditional aspects of breed type, exceptional temperament & hunting instincts. Since the mid 1980's John and Liz have also bred litters under the 'Jujondy' prefix. Litters bred under this prefix are rare and will only be used when John retains a dog for himself. We have always maintained that our dogs must be members of our family, they are never kennelled at night & they always get to sleep in our house. Weimaraners have always been our predominate breed, however, for more than 10 years we had the privilege of living with the most loving Labrador Retriever that belonged to our son - Nic. Also, Liz's sister - Susan McKay, has owned German Shorthaired Pointers for nearly 30 years - Sue has been a member of Silvahunter Kennels for nearly 20 years. Our combined interest in these 3 breeds have allowed us to understand the demands of the Continental Pointing Dog whilst still recognizing the basic, but functional, working ability of the retriever.
